Churchill Square shopping centre is to your right but as you keep
walking the sea is almost in front of you, so keep walking. When passing
the Clock tower, the road you are on now is West Street and on the
right is the entry to the lanes down Duke street. Here one will notice
the Paradox club and the Event II which are real dance music venues
and very popular, and also on the right is the Multi Screen Cinema.
The sea at this stage has almost touched your toes, so cross the road
and enjoy the view and the fresh sea breeze. Let all your worries
disappear.
On the left is the Famous Brighton pier which was previously called
the Palace Pier, and its got its flashing lights and the funfair rides,
and one can see the small kids buying some candy floss. There is a
Sea Life Centre just behind Brighton Pier which is worth a look. On
the right is the West Pier with its battered yet beautiful elegance
symbolises the rich cultural diversity of this beautiful sea side
town.
Why not go down among the piers along the sea front and go for a stroll.
If the sun is shining, the beach can be very lively with all sorts
of volleyball tournaments and kids paddling in their new paddling
pool and play area. At the Ellipse, sometimes a band plays al fresco.
