The Nightlife in Brighton is extensive. From reggae, to jazz, dance,
indie and soul to choose from as well as 70s and 80s nights and
this is the normal choice 7 nights a week. The pubs along the Kings
road where the seafront is get very busy around 9 o clock and a
good spot is the Kings Road Arches just off the beach. Sumo which
is just off the Kings Road is a new venue and is already very popular.
Its a trendy basement bar with a late licence. Not far away from
the Kings Road is the cool Plaza bar as well as the Brasserie for
the more mature party animal.
Along West street there are several clubs and the real buzz is at
the Kings Road Arches next to the beach. One can also get some light
snacks here during the day. The Gemini Beach bar is well popular
and attracts the Bohemian sort of crowd. If its dancing and entertainment
your after, then book your ticket to Brighton and spend the weekend
down there and you will not be disappointed. The place is so hip
that some famous celebrities have made Brighton their permanent
residence, like Fat Boy Slim who can be seen sometimes at the decks
of the Big Beat Boutique club, and the likes of Chris Eubank loves
his life in sunny Brighton.
Bars like the Fish Bowl, Ali Cats, The Prodigal, the Western Front
all are great spots for a pint and a warm welcome. The Zap nightclub
is famous in this area as well as the Beach are very popular venues
as well as the Honeyclub.
For a touch of classical music, there is the Brighton Dome, St.
Bards Church, the Old Market Theatre, and the Pavillion Theatre.
The Brighton Festival in May each year brings all sorts of classical
orchestras.
COMEDY
Stand up comedians flock to Brighton for the great venues like
Komedia, and the Gardner Arts Centre which has big name acts
like Jo Brand, Lee Mack and Simon Munnery.
