The Lanes
If one turns right at the Clock Tower towards North Street, a little
way down you will meet Ship street on the right. Here is a good spot
to enter the Lanes district. This area is packed with bars, restaurants
and shops where one could shop for hours and then drink continuously
for several nights if one is up for it. The smell of tasty food in
the air will certainly put a hunger on you. Don’t miss the
Cricketers pub or why not arrange to go to the Casablanca Nightclub
later on in the night.
North Lane
As one is on North Street, head down the hill and make a left at
Bond Street. This area is known as the North Lane area, which
is considered Brighton’s alternative spot, where one can
buy all sorts of goodies. The Komedia Arts centre has many attractions,
while the Mash Tun is a great bar in the area, the Wai Kika Moo
Kau is an ideal restaurant to have lunch in.
If one returns to North Street, keep going down the street and
on your left side you will see the fantastic Royal Pavilion. Enter
the grounds and admire the beauty. See what’s on at the Dome
Theatre and stroll out the other side and this will bring you to
Brighton’s Museum and Art Gallery which are located on Church
Street.
